NL;NL Labs is never paid by anyone it rates and does not sell monitoring to the operator of any rated model.
The lab buys API access from the companies it rates. It also pays OpenRouter, whose route we watch. Before measurement, instruments are sealed and hash-committed. Configurations are pinned as published literals, and aggregate publication follows the same rule for every provider.

We write down what we expect to find, and what would prove us wrong, before data collection.
Each instrument is frozen and its hash is published before the first run.
A public Ledger entry requires the responsible party's own words or page and a saved copy.
Errors are corrected in place with a dated note. The original error remains in the record.
When we change our own settings we close that run and start a new dated one. The earlier days stay published.
Each model page says what we do not claim from its numbers.
